Hi everyone My name is Tina.I am here to make new ACCF friends.I am looking for new friends without drama.I will help you hack your animal crossing city folks or simply help you along the way.I am not responsible for any bricked wii's.As you know Hacking has its dangers..

Please Note that I nor this group is responsible for any corruption of your wii or saved game. You take your own risk!!Please make sure you keep your wii connect 24 off!!!

Hi everyone, just wanted to share with you how to install homebrew and the Animal crossing tool kit
To get this done, you’ll need the following:
*you need a awesome wii of course
* an SD card which has formatted to FAT
* a copy of the bannerbomb file
* a copy of the HackMii installer
The Wii was not designed by Nintendo to support homebrew. There is no guarantee that using homebrew software will not harm your Wii. About.com does not take any responsibility for any problems arising out of installing homebrew. Proceed at your own risk.

So Why would you want to install Wii Homebrew ?

Well first of all it allows you to run the Homebrew channel on your Wii Console. Secondly it allows you to play DVD on your Nintendo Wii Console and you import and backup various Nintendo Wii Games.
Some Homebrew applications allow you to play all of those old classic games from old school consoles such as N64, SNES, Sega Genesis and a bunch more.
One of the biggest perks of Wii Homebrew is you can make backup copies of your Wii Games and put them on CD’s which protect your the Wii games you already bought from being damaged.

Future Wii updates to the Wii may kill your Homebrew Channel (or even, as was the case with System Update 4.2, brick your Wii), so you might want to not update your system after installing it. To prevent Nintendo from automatically updating your system, turn off WiiConnect24 (go into Options, then Wii Settings and you'll find WiiConnect24 on page 2).

It would probably be a good idea to format your SD card before you begin; I had a number of problems with homebrew applications that were fixed after I reformatted my card. I formatted it in FAT16 (also just called FAT) on the advice of some guy on Yahoo Answers who says the Wii reads and writes faster using FAT16 than FAT32.

Do not buy a kit to install homebrew on your Wii. All homebrew tools can be found for free on the internet; these kits simply repackage these free tools.

Note: If you updated to System Menu 4.2 this can still be installed via Smash Stack or Indiana Pwns as of this edit. You can also use Bannerbomb v2 in conjunction with the HackMii Installer

Instructions
You’ll need to copy the files from your computer to the SD card. If you’re using an SD card you already use for the Wii, you’ll need to rename the “private” directory to “privateold” for the duration of the hack.
1. First, unzip the contents of the banner bomb exploit onto the card. This should create a “private” directory with the contents of the zip file.
2. Next, copy the installer.elf file from the HackMii installer onto the root of the SD card and rename it to boot.elf—as seen above.
3. Once you have the files on the SD card, it’s time to toss it in the Wii and boot up.
4. Click on the circular Wii icon in the lower left corner. DO NOT click on the SD card icon if you’ve got a newer or updated Wii with the 4.0 menu. You won’t hurt your Wii, but the exploit won’t work.
5. Once you’ve clicked on the Wii icon, you’ll be in the sub-menu seen above. Click on Data Management to access the next menu.
6. Click on Channels to get to the SD card. You won’t be able to access it via the Save Data tab.Click on Channels to get to the SD card. You won’t be able to access it via the Save Data tab.
7. The Wii will ask you “Load boot.dol/elf?”, click Yes
8. Press 1 to continue loading the exploit.
9. At this point the exploit has been executed and the HackMii installer is the temporary operating system—think LiveCD—of the Wii. From this menu you can select whether or not you want to install The Homebrew Channel, DVDx, and/or BootMii—BootMii is a more advanced tool which you may or may not care to load, it’s essentially a boot loader for the Wii that provides a more extensive “takeover” of the Wii than The Homebrew Channel

10. On this menu you install or uninstall the respective tools. If this is your first time running the HackMii Installer you won’t see the Uninstall option under any of the entries
11. Install The Homebrew Channel? Hell yea!!!After you agree to install the The Homebrew Channel it usually installs in a matter of seconds. You’ll see the SUCCESS in cash-money-green when it is done installing. You can repeat the installation process for DVDx and BootMii if you desire.

After The Homebrew Channel finishes installing you’ll be taken to the channel itself. The Homebrew Channel runs applications out of the /YourSDCard/Apps/ folder. As you add applications they will appear here. Now we’re back to the main menu. 12:46pm to 1:15pm and we’re done! Under 30 minutes

If you have the animal crossing city folks here are some instructions in downloading the AC toolkit

Using the ACToolkit:
In order to use the ACToolkit, you must extract your Animal Crossing: City Folk Save from the Wii memory and put it onto an SD card. There is no other way to make this work, since the ACToolkit works on a computer, which means that you need to get your save to a computer in order for it to work.

Gecko codes will work for some things just fine WITHOUT you needing to move your save.

What you need
1. Homebrew ALREADY INSTALLED on your Wii (If you haven't done that, start here)

2.Your Animal Crossing: City Folk disc in the Wii (you must have already played the game at least once for this to work)

3.A Wii Compatible SD card (must be 2 GB or less) - Blank, preferably (make a backup by saving everything into a folder on your computer and then empty the card)

4.An SD card reader for your computer (your computer may already have a card slot; if it does, that's fine. If not, you need to get an adapter)

5.Savegame Extractor
Savegame Installer

The ACToolKit

1. Setting Up Your SD Card:
On your blank SD card, create a folder called "apps"
Inside the "apps" folder, create two more folders, "save installer" and "save extractor"

2.Download both the Savegame Extractor and the Savegame Installer zip files (somewhere you'll be able to find them; I suggest the desktop)
3.Copy everything from the Savegame Extractor zip file into the "save extractor" folder on your SD card.
4. Copy everything from the Savegame Extractor zip file into the "save extractor" folder on your SD card.
You can now delete the two .zip files; you won't need them anymore.
Once you have completed the above steps, you will not need to complete them, again AS LONG AS you do not empty the SD card. I suggest writing "Game Saves" on this SD card and only using it for this purpose, if you plan on doing this often.
The rest of the steps you will need to complete EACH TIME you want to use the toolkit on your save. The reason for this is that your save changes each time you play the game and you will need to extract the most current save each time you want to mess with it.

Extracting Your Animal Crossing Save:

Animal Crossing is one of those games where you cannot copy or move the save, so the Save Extractor application was created so that you can copy 'uncopyable' saves to your SD card. Here's how you do it:

1.Turn on the Wii.
2.Put your Animal Crossing: City Folk disc in.
3.Insert your SD card (the one we set up, earlier, with the apps folder) into the Wii
NOTE: If you used a card adapter that plugs into a USB slot for your computer, DO NOT use this for the Wii! There is a card slot on the front of the Wii for use with an SD card. Use that.
4.Start the Homebrew Channel.
5.When it starts, it should show you a list of applications (Save Extractor & Save Installer, as well as any others you might have on there).
6.Point to the Save Extractor and press A.
7.The Wiimote will not work within this program. Go stand by the Wii so you can press buttons on it.
The program will look sort of like an old DOS program; it will tell you that if you want to extract the save, press A or RESET or press B or POWER to return to the Wii Menu. A doesn't work, here, so you need to press RESET on the Wii Console. The program will read the gamedisc and extract the save to the SD card.
8.When the program is done, it will go back to the first screen you saw, where it asks you to either press A or RESET to extract or press B or POWER to return to the Wii Menu. Press the POWER button on the Wii Console to return to the Wii Menu.
PLEASE NOTE: at this time, NOTHING has been done to the save that is currently in the Wii Memory. Your save is still there, still fine, still exactly as you left it.
9.Once you are back to the main Wii menu, remove the SD card from the Wii.
You have successfully extracted your Animal Crossing save!
10.How to Use the ACToolKit:
Download the ACToolkit that I linked to, above. Open the .zip file and move the file called "ACToolkit" or "ACToolkit.exe" onto your desktop (or somewhere else, if you'd prefer; just so long as it's somewhere that you can find it).
11.You can delete the ACToolkit.zip file, now. As long as you have the .exe file out of it, you have what you need.
12.Put the SD card into your computer (the one you just had in the Wii)
START OPTIONAL STEPS ● START OPTIONAL STEPS ● START OPTIONAL STEPS ● START OPTIONAL STEPS
PLEASE NOTE: The following two steps are completely optional, however, I strongly suggest you do AT LEAST the first one.
ALWAYS: Make a copy of your game save
Somewhere on your computer (desktop is fine) make a folder called "Save Backup"
13.Go onto the SD card and find the WIISAVES folder; open it
Copy the entire RUUE folder and paste it into the "Save Backup" folder on your desktop

The reason I strongly suggest that you do this is because you might accidentally do something to the save that corrupts it. If you do, then you're going to want a backup save so that you do not lose everything you have already done in the game when you install the new save, later. If you do this step EVERY TIME, then you will ALWAYS have a good save, just in case. I do it every single time. Seriously.
OPTIONAL STEP: Put a copy of your save on your computer to edit
Somewhere on your computer (desktop is fine) make a folder called "Save to Edit"
14.Go onto the SD card and find the WIISAVES folder; open it
Copy the entire RUUE folder and paste it into the "Save to Edit" folder on your desktop
The reason I do this is that, for some reason, the ACToolKit has had issues, for me, saving directly to the SD card. It takes longer and I've had more errors doing it that way. You don't have to. As I said, this step is optional; it is completely my personal suggestion. More info on this is available in the Tips, Tricks & Troubleshooting section.
15.Double click on ACToolkit or ACToolkit.exe; you will likely get one of those "Are you sure you want this to run?" pop-ups. If you do, say yes, run it anyway.
16. An Open File dialog box will immediately pop up. You want to go to your SD card, into the WIISAVES folder, then into the RUUE folder (or your "Save to Edit" folder and into the RUUE folder, if you took my advice). You're looking for the RVFOREST.DAT file. Choose it and click "Open." Now you can edit your town and go crazy hacking your own town

I hope this helped you in anyway,if you have any questions feel free to message me..
